Growing up in God’s household | In light of love | 1 John 2:28 – 3:3 | Ep.9
We spend so much of life trying to prove ourselves—wondering if we’ve done enough, changed enough, or measured up enough. But in 1 John 2:28–3:3, John reminds us of something far more secure: through Christ, we are already children of God. And that identity doesn’t leave us passive—it gives us confidence for Christ’s return, shapes us to become more like Him today, and fills us with awe at the Father’s extraordinary love. We don’t live like God’s children in order to become His family; we live like His children because we already are. As we fix our eyes on what is to come, we find fresh resolve to live faithfully in the present.
