But in 1 John 2, John reminds us that everything this world offers is temporary—and if we give our hearts to what is passing away, we’ll never find what truly satisfies. Instead, we’re invited to follow Jesus, whose life was shaped by the Father’s will rather than the world’s desires. As we learn to love what lasts, we discover the lasting hope, joy, and life that are found in Him alone.
