As a nation, we are rich in heritage, something South Africa celebrates on the 24th of September each year. And this year we thought, what better way to also celebrate the different cultures. languages and diversity in this church family, than by sharing a meal together? We will be hosting a Heritage Day Bring-and-Banquet on Sunday 23 September, where we want to invite you to bring and share food that speaks to your heritage. We (BBC) will supply proudly South African food for everyone, and invite you to bring along something that you or your family grew up eating that is specific to your heritage and share it with some fellow BBC'ers. Then, after the 10am service we will all connect and engage over these meals as a church family. Because we want to all gather together and spend the afternoon connecting as a community, and with it being a long weekend, we will only have the 08h00 & 10h00 services on that Sunday. So no 4pm & 6pm services on 23 September 2018.
If you are planning on joining us for lunch, please RSVP. If you are attending and or if you are bringing a dish that speaks to your heritage to share, please let us know by visiting the Info Counter on a Sunday or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
