Elder & Discipleship Ministry Director

Kevin is the Discipleship Ministry Director here at BBC. He is responsible for the family ministry, leading the Renew Counselling ministry and serves as a pastor to the BBC family. Kevin is also one of the preaching and teaching pastors at BBC. Kevin served as a volunteer at BBC for many years before joining the full-time staff in July 2011.

Kevin’s relationship with God started at the age of 13 years when he attended an event run by a university Christian ministry team. He originally comes from Cape Town where most of his family still reside. Kevin spent 7 years in Bloemfontein, where for 5 of those years he attended Grey College. Kevin moved to Johannesburg in 1997 to pursue what he believes was the call of God on his life. The last 20 odd years in Johannesburg have been wonderful and at times very hard but God’s faithfulness has been unrelenting.

Kevin is 43 years old and has lived in Joburg for over 20 years. He currently lives in Petervale with his wife Andrea, to whom he has been married for almost 13 years. They have two daughters, Holly and Georgia. Before joining the BBC full-time staff team, Kevin worked for a family owned business as a project manager.

Kevin is a passionate rugby supporter, enjoys watching a good movie with Andrea, loves nature (the bush and the sea) and he enjoys going to the gym, running and even cycling albeit that by his own admittance he does this far too little.
